Simplify User Authentication Process with ngDesk’s Active Directory Connect
We are proud to announce the latest free feature for ngDesk, Active Directory Connect, to simplify user authentication process with your organization. Launching this week, Active Directory Connect allows you to import users from your internal active directory to your ngDesk account. All told, ngDesk’s Active Directory Connect makes it easier for your organization to simplify its user authentication process, while offering a more secure and centralized environment.
How does Active Directory Connect work?
ngDesk’s Active Directory Connect lets you connect your internal Active Directory database to the ngDesk server. The Active Directory Connect comes in an easy-to-use MSI file, which is available as a download link when you log in. During installation, the ngDesk MSI will configure your connector to connect with ngDesk.
Active Directory Connect also routinely syncs your directory every hour, where it adds and deletes users from the network. It should also be noted that you can have non-active directory members. Active Directory Connect is a simple system, made for non-technical individuals. However, it ensures a secure authorization process with no required maintenance on your end.
What versions are compatible with Active Directory Connect?
Active Director Connect has been tested and confirmed working on the following Active Director Forests:
Outside of these versions, ngDesk cannot guarantee Active Directory Connect will be fully functional.
When will ngDesk Active Directory Connect be available?
ngDesk’s Active Directory Connect is scheduled to launch the week of February 5, and is included with every free ngDesk account. What better time than now to sign up with ngDesk and experience a new way to simplify user authentication process?
